The Aumaris Nautical Wedding Ring

A Symbol as Timeless as the Tides: The Aumaris Nautical Wedding Ring

A wedding ring is more than just a piece of jewelry; it's a profound symbol of a promise made, a journey shared, and a bond that is meant to be as enduring as the sea itself. For couples who feel a deep connection to the ocean—its adventure, its power, and its timeless beauty—a traditional wedding band can feel a little too ordinary. This is where Aumaris's nautical wedding rings come in, offering a unique and meaningful alternative that tells a story as epic as the one you're about to write together.

Crafted with the Spirit of the Sea

Aumaris elevates the art of fine jewelry by drawing inspiration from centuries of maritime tradition. Their nautical wedding rings are meticulously handcrafted to capture the essence of sailing. Each ring is a testament to the skill and dedication of master goldsmiths who understand that true beauty lies in precision and quality.

Their signature Turks Head knot rings are a prime example. The intricate, interwoven pattern of the knot symbolizes an unbreakable bond, with no beginning and no end. Unlike rings that are cast from a mold, Aumaris's Turks Head rings are literally woven by hand from a single strand of precious metal—be it 14k or 18k gold, or platinum. This painstaking process, which requires significant time and expertise, yields a ring that is not just a piece of jewelry but a work of art, each with its own subtle and unique character.

More Than a Ring, It's a Vow

Choosing a nautical wedding ring from Aumaris is a powerful way to express your shared passions and values. The designs—from the robust Anchor Chain bands that represent strength and stability, to the elegant rope rings that evoke the timeless romance of sailing—speak a language all their own.

  • For the Adventurous Couple: The rugged, enduring nature of the nautical designs perfectly complements a love story built on adventure and shared exploration.

  • For the Traditionalist with a Twist: The classic, clean lines of Aumaris's rings offer a sophisticated take on traditional wedding bands, subtly incorporating a personal story without compromising on elegance.

  • For the Romantics: The idea of a love as vast and deep as the ocean itself is beautifully captured in every design.

A Commitment to Quality, a Legacy of Love

Aumaris's dedication to quality is evident in every detail. Made with comfort in mind and built to last, these rings are designed for a lifetime of wear. They stand as a testament to the kind of love that can weather any storm—a love that is both strong and beautiful, just like the sea that inspires them.

Your wedding ring should be as unique as your love story. By choosing an Aumaris nautical wedding ring, you are selecting a piece rich in history, imbued with profound symbolism, and crafted to be a lasting symbol of your journey together. It's more than a ring; it's a legacy.

Hector Sanchez
Aumaris original Nautical Jewelry is handcrafted with a natural approach to jewelry design, to ensure each piece is environmentally friendly, socially responsible and unique.
Hector Sanchez was born, the second child of a master jeweler. He is the one to inherit a legacy of jewelry craftsmanship that spanned three generations. Like his father before him, Hector enjoys the art of jewelry making.
At the age of 16, Hector embarked on an apprenticeship under his father, who taught him the jeweler’s art along with family honored techniques Hector still employs to this day. The rigors of his father’s strict training forged both masterful design skills and an uncompromising work ethic rooted in hard work, perseverance and love for his craft.

Hector moved to California and worked for eight years in the Los Angeles jewelry district, where he fine-tuned his skills. It was here in the City of Angels that he met sailor and entrepreneur, Bob Bitchin.
Bob shared with Hector his frustration with finding an artist who could bring his vision of a hefty sailor gold bracelet to life (Bob is 6'4"). Hector volunteered to give it a try. He did, and Bob loved it. So much so that in 1990 he joined forces with Hector to start a nautical jewelry business, and together they created among others the original Turks-Head Comfort Rings. After a few years, Bob decided to cast off and sail into the sunset, while Hector continued designing unique fine nautical jewelry.
To this day Hector continues to work on new designs from his studio in Hawaii, creating some of the most beautiful enduring jewelry designs with his wife Chris; the love of his life.
